ESJC steps up clean-air work as Punjab enters stubble season

Punjab is entering the months when air quality usually drops after the paddy harvest. The Environment & Social Justice Commission of India has made clean air a core part of its 2026-27 Punjab plan.

National President Ritik Arora has said pollution control and public awareness will stay high on the agenda. Villages, schools and local groups are being asked to join drives against open burning.

The Punjab Chapter will support awareness camps, cleanliness drives and safer options for farm residue, alongside tree plantation and flood readiness.
